As part of a continuing effort to automate procedures and improve services, researchers and staff will no longer be required to sign book cards when checking out a monograph or report from the library. The information will now be entered into a computer. Head librarian, Mariuccia Fasanella, says the new system should be less time consuming and troublesome for library users. As an added bonus, library staff will have an easier time tracking materials that are out on loan.
