The ICTP's 1998 Scientific Calendar has just been published. A complete listing of activities can be found on the Web Page at www.ictp.trieste.it.
The '98 Calendar includes a completely new subject: Between 31 August and 2 October, the Centre will hold its first-ever School on the Mathematics of Economics. Organizers include Jose Scheinkman, chair of the University of Chicago's Department of Economics; Andreu Mas-Colell, Professor of Economics at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona; and Michele Boldrin, Professor of Economics at the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid.
