"Are We Alone in the Universe" will be a main topic of discussion during a week-long conference, organised by the ICTP, that will take place between 22-26 September. Professor Julian Chela-Flores, a biophysicist at the ICTP and co-director of the conference, notes that "All of the attention that has recently been focused on the possibility of life beyond Earth has certainly raised the public's curiosity of about whether we share the heavens with other living organisms. We hope the conference not only helps sustain the public's interest but sheds additional light on this endlessly intriguing topic."
