NOBEL LAUREATES AT TWAS GENERAL MEETING
The Tenth General Meeting of the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), which will take place at the ICTP between 9-11 December, will bring more than 100 scientists from around the world to Trieste. The highlight of the meeting will occur on Wednesday 9 December when three Nobel Laureates--Carlo Rubbia (Physics 1984), Robert Huber (Chemistry 1988) and Werner Arber (Medicine and Physiology 1978)--make presentations on subjects ranging from energy sources in the developing world to molecular genetics and the development of proteins. The "Nobel lectures" will take place at the Main Lecture Hall in the ICTP Main Building between 11:00 and 13:15. The public is invited to attend.
