A broad-based discussion on the political and strategic implications of the recent nuclear tests in Asia will be held on 7 September in the ICTP's Main Lecture Hall beginning at 17:00. Pervez Hoodbhoy, a well-known theoretical physicist and essayist from the Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad, Pakistan, and a frequent visitor to the ICTP, will speak about "India and Pakistan Nuclear Race--Where Is It Heading?" The public is invited to attend.
