ICTP's Mathematics Group and Library joined forces to offer participants in the School of Differential Geometry a new learning experience. Besides the traditional lectures and seminars, those participating in the School, held from 12-30 April, viewed several videos, which the Centre purchased from the American Mathematical Society. To meet the needs of the viewers, the 'safety area,' a small room near the centre of the Library, was turned into a temporary theatre. Among the more popular selections were "The Topological Constraints on Analysis" and "Characteristic Forms," both of which were shown twice to accommodate the large number of participants who came to watch and learn. Relevant videos are expected to be shown during future activities.
