The ICTP will organize a School on Exploring the Atmosphere by Remote Sensing Techniques between 18 October and 5 November. Participants will learn about the state of knowledge in this rapidly expanding field that uses groundbased instruments, aircrafts and satellites to investigate the ultraviolet/infrared spectral range. The School's first week will offer a general description of the subject. The School's second week will provide in-depth examinations of several case studies. Laboratory and field exercises at the Bologna Research Area will be an integral part of the learning experience.
