ICTP, TWAS and the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA, will co-host a Workshop on Frontiers in Materials Science, to be held 15-18 May. Anthony Cheetham, Director of the Materials Research Laboratory, University of California, Santa Barbara, and C.N.R. Rao, President of TWAS and Honorary President of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, India, will serve as workshop directors. About 60 researchers from around the world are expected to attend.
