About 40 permanent representatives of the diplomatic missions to the UN visited Trieste on 27 September to learn more about the Trieste System. The visit was organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs - General Directorate for Cultural Promotion and Cooperation, the Italian Permanent Mission to the UN in Vienna, and the International Centre for Science and High Technology (ICS), in cooperation with other UN-affiliated scientific organizations in Trieste and local and regional institutions as well as government agencies. In the morning, the delegation listened to brief presentations about the institutions that are part of the Trieste System; in the afternoon, they toured Trieste's scientific institutions, including ICTP.
