ICTP, together with Trieste's other UN-affiliated scientific organizations, will celebrate UN Day on 24 October. The ceremony will take place in the Kastler Lecture Hall at the Adriatico Guesthouse. Joining ICTP will be officials from the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), and the International Centre for Science and High Technology (ICS). Participation is also expected from the United Nations Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (UNESCO) which will be represented by its European Regional Office for Science and Technology (ROSTE) in Venice. Local and regional officials will also be in attendance.
