Trieste's scientific community will celebrate United Nations Day at AREA Science Park's Congress Centre on 25 October. Ceremonies will begin at 18.00 and include presentations by UN officials, representatives of the Italian government and members of Trieste's international scientific community, including ICTP, the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), and the International Centre for Science and High Technology (ICS), which will host the event for the first time, assuming responsibility from ICTP.
