ICTP will host the XVI Amaldi Conference on Problems of Global Security on 18-22 November. The three-day event, which is being sponsored by Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, will feature discussions on (1) the problems of providing independent scientific to governmental security policy, (2) nuclear weapons, (3) biological weapons and biodefence research, and (4) dual use technologies in information warfare.
