ICTP will host the 15th General Meeting of the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) from 23-24 November. More than 200 scientists are scheduled to attend. The opening session will include brief addresses by ICTP Director K.R. Sreenivasan; C.N.R. Rao, President of TWAS; and N.A. Al-Nasser, Chairman of the Group of 77. On Wednesday afternoon, 24 November, there will be a special session devoted to the challenges posed by intellectual property rights to science-based development in the South.
