ICTP has joined the University of Trieste and several other scientific institutions, including the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics (OGS), the Institute of Marine Sciences (ISMAR-CNR) and the Regional Meteorological Observatory (OSMER-FVG), in launching a new PhD programme for young scientists in the field of environmental fluid mechanics. The programme will enable five students to study for three years at several institutions in Italy and the USA. Successful candidates will receive a doctorate at the completion of their studies. The fellowships are sponsored by the Italian Foreign Ministry.
