On Thursday, 12 May at 17.00 hours in the Main Lecture Hall, ICTP will continue its series of informal lectures by visiting scientists when John Harte, professor, Energy and Resources Group and Department of Environmental Sciences, Policy and Mangement, University of California, Berkeley, speaks on “Predicting Climate Change on a Green Planet". Harte will examine recent ice-core studies and other investigations that reveal strong feedbacks between the Earth’s climate and terrestrial ecosystems. He will also discuss the implications of the investigations both for the climate-ecosystem and climate policy. ICTP scientists and staff and the public are invited to attend.
