Yasaman Farzan, from the Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics Teheran, Iran and current ICTP Junior Associate has been awarded the theoretical 2008 IUPAP Young Scientists Prize in Particle Physics.
The prize, recently established, will be presented during the 34th International Conference on High Energy Physics (IHEP2008) Philadelphia, USA, July 30 - August 5 2008.
Yasaman Farzan has been a former PhD student of Professor A. Smirnov and visited ICTP several times from 2004 to 2008.
